Initial Consultation: We invite you to visit our showroom. During our first meeting, we will discuss the advantages of a custom-designed Poggenpohl kitchen and investigate the endless design ideas through our vast range of finishes and our many different displays. There is no charge for this meeting.

Detailed Brief: We sit down with you to obtain a detailed brief, whether that be in our showroom or on-site at your home. We recommend allowing around one hour for this process, during which we will ask for your ‘must haves’ and your ‘wish list’ – both of which we will try to incorporate into our design.  We do, however, suggest coming into this meeting with an open mind, as we often find that having a designer’s view of the space makes you see a room in a completely different light. There is no charge for this meeting.

Concept Design: Once we have completed a measure, or received copies of the architectural drawings, we start the design process. In most cases, this is approximately a ten-day turnaround.

Detailed Design: We arrange another meeting with you in our showroom to walk you through the design(s) that we have created. This is done via computer-generated plans, elevations and perspectives, but best of all, by seeing the actual units and modules in our showroom.  At this stage, we will have drawn up a quotation for you, based on the plan that we have developed, with options for movement. 

We do not charge for these first four stages. However, all drawings remain the property of Poggenpohl and must remain with us in our showroom. Within this stage, we allow for up to three meetings to alter or change the plans. Any further work will be charged on an hourly basis of $150.00 + GST.

Following the completion of Step 4, there is the option to walk away with the plans for a one-off charge of $2,500.00 + GST

Confirmation of Order: We now prepare your kitchen order to be sent to Poggenpohl’s factory in Germany to be manufactured. We allow 12-16 weeks from the date of order for the kitchen to be sent from Germany. There is only one Poggenpohl factory and everything is shipped from there. We prepare a full set of installation drawings, including building, plumbing and electrical drawings for the trades on site. These drawings are released at this stage.

Commencement of Production: Your cabinetry is put into production. Whist we await the cabinetry's arrival, we keep in communication with you to make sure that site measures are completed and to ensure installation drawings are followed by our local trades. We allow for two site visits before installation.  If further site visits are required, we charge a call-out fee and an hourly rate of $150.00 + GST.

Delivery to Site: When your site is ready, including all painting completed and (in most cases) floors laid, we deliver the cabinetry to site for our experienced installation team to begin the final stages of your new kitchen. Benchtop template and installation follows shortly after, along with the completion of all plumbing and electrical final fittings.
